Private and Small Group Classes

Fitness Kickboxing/MMA This total body workout incorporates MMA conditioning techniques with traditional Kickboxing strikes and pad holding. A great beginner or advanced student class that focuses on technique and allows you to choose the pace and power. This class incorporates all the equipment to learn kickboxing technique and develop stamina & strength through MMA conditioning exercises.

JKD Self Defense & Fitness - A great all round workout incorporating Jeet Kune Do techniques (street self-defense, stick and knife), as well as fitness conditioning, and energy drills. This is a great workout for those wanting to learn how to defend themselves in real-life situations.

Jeet Kune Do (JKD) 8yrs & upan eclectic martial art first created and refined by "Little Dragon", Bruce Lee. Using "no way, as way". Focusing on what works as the main goal in this martial art, this is why JKD is renowned for it's street effectiveness. We cover all ranges of fighting, from the ground to stand up, to weapons or empty hand. **Your own pair of Kali sticks and boxing gloves are required.

Family Martial Arts 4yrs & up - a combination of disciplines (BJJ, JKD, Kickboxing) that caters for families who can take the class together, as well as teens and adults who want to continue with their regular training. The class will be divided into two - one instructor will lead children under 11, and the other instructor will lead teens & adults. Parents attending the class are welcome to participate with their children in the class drills if they wish.

About Mike LeBlanc


Mike LeBlanc Mike's journey into the martial arts began at 11yrs old when he joined a Goju Kai Karate club in his hometown of Calgary. He was hooked on the martial arts from day one and enjoyed great success in tournaments in both Kata (Movement Forms) and Kumite (Sparring). During high school, Mike started his training in Western Boxing.

Mike began Muay Thai training under World Champion, Ajarn Mike Miles in the mid 90's and has had the opportunity with other world champions such as Shihan Simon Posener, and Kru Trevor Smandych.
The combination of Muay Thai and Boxing forged a level of fitness that was amazing.

In 2006, Mike began training in Jeet Kune Do with PFS Senior Full Instructor, Trevor Clarkson, who was passing on the art through the lineage of Bruce Lee, via Guro Dan Inosanto and Paul Vunak. Mike knew he was on the right path, with new training methods for street/military based combat and truly functional martial arts!
Mike’s eyes were opened yet again when he met Sifu Singh in 2008 at the PFS Edged Weapons Training where he met and witnessed Sifu Singh’s incredible athleticism, skill, and passion for JKD.

Currently, Mike continues his growth and training in Jeet Kune Do under the mentorship and guidance of Sifu Harinder Singh, President and Chief Training Officer of the JKDAA and Sifu Jay Cooper, President and Head Instructor of HAVOC JKD, and Canadian Director of the JKDAA.

Mike was also highly successful teaching for several years as a top Course Conductor and Program Operator for Fitness Kickboxing Canada International (FKCI), where he trained Fitness Instructors and Personal Trainers to incorporate Boxing, Kickboxing, and MMA based technical and fitness training into their clients programs.

Mike began Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2011 under Coach Paul Joseph of Gracie Barra, Calgary.

Mike is also Internationally Certified Kundalini Yoga instructor (Kundalini Research Institute - KRI) Certified Level II Radiant Child Yoga Instructor and likes to incorporate yogic postures and breath work into his teaching.

Mike has run Warrior Arts since 2009 with his wife Theresa, and is available for small group classes, private training, children and family classes.
